Ocean Isle Beach Free Concert Series

All you music lovers out there get ready to enjoy this summer’s lineup. The Ocean Isle Beach Free Concert Series is back! May 26th  through September 8th, 2017 with its usual roster of beach music, shag, oldies and rock and roll.

If you’re into music you are in luck. All concerts take place in the parking lot at the Museum of the Coastal Carolinas right here on Ocean Isle Beach and best of all they’re FREE! Join us every Friday night from 6:30pm to 8pm!

2017 Ocean Isle Beach Free Concert Series: 

May 26th Gary Lowder & Smokin’ Hot – known as a Soul, R&B party band based out of North Myrtle Beach , SC.

Their musical repertoire covers decades of hits from your favorite artists and genres of music including soul, rhythm & blues, funk, reggae, jazz standards, country, 50, 60’s and Carolina Beach Music.

In addition of performing some the most current hits that are topping the charts today, the group has had many successful chart topping hits on local radio and internet stations across North and South Carolina , Virginia , Georgia , and Florida.


Bailout Band Ocean Isle BeachOn June 2nd Bailout (Ocean Isle Beach’s own local band) will play the Ocean Isle Beach Concert Series. The Bailout Band will be playing tunes from their CD “Postcard – Greetings From Ocean Isle Beach ” as well as their special brew of classic rock, soulful soul and bluesy blues!

Fans and friends (same thing) know that they don’t hold back!

North Tower BandOn June 9th North Tower will play the Ocean Isle Beach Concert Series.

North Tower has been one of the south’s great party bands for over 35 years, providing the best in oldies, beach, top 40 and funk.

Carolina BreakersFriday, June 16th, come enjoy a free summer concert with The Carolina Breakers at the Ocean Isle Beach Concert Series.

The Carolina Breakers will be doing what they do best, playing a mix of Motown, Funk, R&B and Disco, so bring your dancing shoes!

July 14th Continental Divide enjoy a free concert with Continental Divide at the Ocean Isle Beach Concert Series

July 21st    The Legacy Motown Revue Since touring with Bill Pinckney’s Original Drifters, as music director and pianist, Band Leader Stan Stigall has dreamed of starting a tribute to the legendary groups that he grew up listening to! Since the passing of his friend, Bill Pinckney, this desire has grown stronger…thus the inception of THE LEGACY!!!

 


July 28th    Jim Quick & Coastline – Artist or in person, Jim Quick is the kind of guy you genuinely want to call a friend. With the charm only a true Southerner can possess, he brings his talent to the stage with a quick-witted, knee-slapping sense of humor coupled with the clear sincerity of his love for his craft.


August 4th    The Attractions

In 1965 a group of teenagers from Burlington, NC formed a local band in the basement of
Hatley’s Music Store.  In a very short time the band received an invitation to audition for Ted
Hall at Hit Attractions booking agency, in Charlotte, NC.  The following weekend the local
band became “THE ATTRACTIONS BAND“.

 


August 11th    Holiday Band For those who haven’t seen the band in a while, you don’t know what you are missing. The band has experienced a few changes over the last few years, but we are proud to say we are the strongest we have ever been.

August 18th    Steve Owens & Summertime Summertime walked away from the 2012 Carolina Beach Music Awards as a winner of the “Favorite New Artist of the Year” category.

The awards show was held in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on Sunday, November 11 and featured musical performances by several popular beach music bands including Steve Owens and Summertime. SOaS had received numerous nominations after only one year since the band’s formation.

 


August 25th    Too Much Sylvia With the desire and ability to please and play something that everyone will enjoy, their fun, contagious personalities will touch all. Whether it’s a low key dinner setting, an energetic party, a festival with all ages attending, the band easily adapts.  By NOT working from a “set list”, 2MS has the ability to “feel the mood”, pace the song selection and provoke audience interaction to reach a peak at the right moment. The experience and professionalism only adds to the ease of working with TOO MUCH SYLVIA.


September 1st    The Entertainers

Beach Music has long been a tradition in The South, and The Entertainers are proud to have shared in that tradition for over 30 years.

The Entertainers were founded In 1980 and scored their first regional smash hit with “Living For The Summer” that same year. This song helped propel the group to the forefront of beach music, which led to their playing the finest clubs along the grand strand of Myrtle Beach, corporate conventions, weddings and festivals from Washington, DC to Naples, Florida
